Through this fundamental concept, students and faculty are able to study,
create and do research
utilizing the historic, cultural and natural resources of Tohoku and Yamagata
surrounded by a
blessed natural environment.
In addition, the University is aiming for growth which is both open and
closely linked with the
community; courses held open to the public, cooperative research, and
various other activities
with local residents, the University is working to become a regional center
